Jennifer Montoya

Assistant Principal & Athletic Director

Leadership Team , Athletics

I am proudly from Pueblo, Colorado where my beautiful family calls home and many know it as the “Steel City”. From an early age I had a passion for sports and competition. I earned a full scholarship to play basketball at Mesa State College and soon after began my service as an educator in 2004. I served as a social studies teacher at Hinkley High School until 2018. At the same time I coached basketball from 2005-2017 and softball from 2011-2018. I began another journey in my life as a school leader serving as an assistant principal at Hinkley from 2019-2023.I am honored to currently serve as the athletic director at Kennedy. Pairing my school leadership skills with my athletic background is a dream come true. I am ready to become Kennedy’s biggest fan and fiercest competitor. I am passionate about elevating our athletic programs to represent Kennedy like our community deserves. Personally, I am married and a mother to three fur babies. I love to watch and attend sports events. I am a die hard Denver Broncos and Nuggets fan. I also love the Avs and Rockies. Colorado is a way of life and I am here to live it. Go Commanders!
