Hi! My name is Claudia Ajalla. I am from Peru, I earned my bachelor degree in Foreign Languages Teaching at Universidad Jorge Basadre Grohmann and Masters Studies at Universidad Peruana Union. This year I am working on another masters at CU Denver. Back in Peru, I taught EFL in public and private schools. In 2013 I moved with my family to the U.S. to teach English as a Second Language and Spanish in North Carolina. In 2018 we moved to Denver, CO to join the JFK team, this is my 6th year at Kennedy! Ever since I started teaching, I have been passionate in my commitment of boosting students’ interest in learning a new language. I am excited and look forward to seeing you in my class and share with you my passion for the Spanish language as well as for the Hispanic culture.
¡Hola! Mi nombre es Claudia Ajalla. Soy de Perú, obtuve mi licenciatura en Enseñanza de Lengua Extranjera en la Universidad Jorge Basadre Grohmann y estudios de Maestría en la Universidad Peruana Unión. Este año estoy trabajando en otra maestría en CU Denver. En Perú, enseñé inglés como lengua extranjera en escuelas públicas y privadas. En 2013 me mudé con mi familia a los Estados Unidos para enseñar inglés como segundo idioma y español en Carolina del Norte. En 2018 nos mudamos a Denver, CO para unirme al equipo de JFK. ¡Este es mi sexto año en Kennedy! Desde que comencé a enseñar, me ha apasionado el compromiso de impulsar el interés de los estudiantes por aprender un nuevo idioma. Estoy emocionada y espero verte en mi clase y compartir contigo mi pasión por el idioma español y la cultura hispana.
