Hello! My name is Kelly Brick, and I have been a proud member of the Commander family for over 20
years. Currently, I am teaching in the CTE MedConnect Pathway (IB – DP Sports, Exercise, and Health
Science; Health/Medical Science Honors; and Health Science 1), helping to prepare students on their way
to a career in the medical and health care fields. In addition to being a teacher, I am also a Certified
Athletic Trainer – having provided injury prevention and care to the JFK/DPS student-athletes for many
years before moving to teaching full-time. Before moving up to the 4th floor and CTE, I taught for 13
years in the Physical Education department, and 1 year with the Social Studies team. Among some of my
other responsibilities, I am the National Honor Society Faculty Advisor, JROTC Honor Platoon “Mama
Duck”, and HOSA sponsor. I believe the best way to experience education is by being involved – so I
look for ways to be a part of all sorts of activities that promote school spirit and student activities!!
Away from JFK, I spend my time with my husband and soon-to-be 5 year old son. We enjoy traveling
and new adventures, being outside, and hanging out with friends and family. I am a huge fan of all things
Disney and Star Wars.
