Dear Commander Community,
As we launch into February, we celebrate Black History Month, a time dedicated to remembering the strength, resilience, and courage of Black people throughout American History, while honoring their innumerable contributions to our society. As a school, it is our responsibility to infuse meaningful instruction of Black History into our lessons year round and to ensure that our Black students are thriving.
Huge shout out to Mike LaGuardia, our Student Support Liaison and Head Football Coach, for being recognized as a Living Our DPS Honoree for Students First. This is a prestigious honor and we are so proud of Mike!
