Welcome to John F. Kennedy High School Home of the Commanders!
As Commanders, we are advocates of our passions, challengers of inequity, and champions of change. We find P.R.I.D.E. (Professionalism, Respect, Inclusion, Dedication, and Excellence) in shaping a more inclusive global community and taking command of our role within that world.
As previously shared, Principal Tiffany Almon will be leaving JFK at the end of the school year. We are grateful for the positive impact that she has made in the lives of our students. Please read the below linked letters to learn more about the principal selection process and the new components of the process.
Super Test Week is almost here, Commanders! Per both Colorado and Denver Public School requirements, all 9th-grade students are expected to take the PSAT 8/9, all 10th-grade students are expected to take PSAT 10, and 11th-grade students are expected to take the SAT during both the fall and spring semesters. Students’ grade level testing assignments are determined by current credits not graduating class.
On Tuesday, 9th and 11th graders are testing. 10th graders have the day off.
On Wednesday, 10th and 11th graders are testing. 9th graders will have the day off.
Seniors will have opportunities both days to come in to work with DSF or to complete graduation requirements.
There will be early release from testing beginning at 11:50 a.m. both days, and there is no school for students on Friday.
All Super Week testing information can be found here.
