Dear Commander Community,

This week our students truly stepped into our vision and shined brightly as challengers of inequities and champions of change when they organized in our flagpole lot to engage in a peaceful protest to stand up for women’s rights. It is our students’ right to exercise their voices and speak up for what they believe in and they did just that on Thursday. We are proud of the active community members our students are becoming no matter what political viewpoint they stand for. “Every moment is an organizing opportunity, every person a potential activist, every minute a chance to change the world.” Dolores Huerta
