Dear Commander Community,
Congratulations on a strong finish to an epic first Semester. Each of you have so much to be proud of, please take some time to reflect on your successes, and begin to think about your strategy for starting Semester 2 strong. Grades are final as of 12/17/21 at 4pm, grades roll to transcript on 1/6/22 at 4pm, and electronic report cards will be sent out no later than 1/13/22.
We are excited to welcome you back on January 5th for a Connecting Back to Kennedy Day. All students should arrive promptly at 7:30am to check in with their advisory teacher and receive their schedule for the day. We will resume our regular schedule with a GREEN day on 1/6/22 and a BLUE day on 1/7/22.
Check out this slide deck for details about our Cell Phone, Tardy, and Truancy Policy for Semester 2, Winter Athletics, and a visual of the schedule for the first week of Semester 2.
COVID UPDATE:
It is our priority to keep you informed of incidents related to safety. We want to make you aware that this week, we have 2 students or staff members that have been diagnosed with COVID-19. We have notified those people who were in close contact with these individuals.
Each case of COVID-19 is interviewed by public health. As part of this public health investigation:
If you have any concerns about your health, we encourage you to contact the Denver Health School Based Health Center at 303-602-8958 (or your primary care provider) for further evaluation and possible testing.
Please continue to stay safe and mask up when in public. Our COVID numbers have been relatively low and are trending down; but we did see a significant spike after students and staff returned from Thanksgiving break.
Wishing you a beautiful holiday season and a happy new year!
