John F. Kennedy High School also has the distinction of being an International Baccalaureate World School. We are one of only 32 authorized IB High Schools in Colorado, and one of only 3 authorized IB High Schools in Denver Public Schools.
We are committed to ensuring that all students have access to the courses and opportunities that will empower them to live our school vision and to meet their goals. When students choose JFK, their counselor will work with them to identify their strengths, areas for growth, and post-secondary aspirations, resulting in an academic plan for their time at JFK. The Course Pathway Matrix provides an overview of the classes students can expect to take during their 4 years as a Kennedy Commander.
Current students have the opportunity to update the class preferences every spring during the Choice of Studies process.
