Commander Communicator

A Message From Principal Almon

Dear Commander Family,

As we embark on our final week of Semester 1, I am compelled to share 3 quotes with you:

“It always seems impossible until it is done.” – Nelson Mandela

“Success is not final, failure is not fatal: It is the courage to continue that counts.” – Winston Churchill

“Fall seven times and stand up eight.” – Japanese Proverb

Students, as you read these quotes, please remember that you have the knowledge and the courage inside you to show up and find success on your midterm finals, all you need to do is show up and try your best. Please come prepared next week with your Chromebook, a full night’s sleep, and eat breakfast either at school or at home. *If you miss one of your finals, please connect with your teacher immediately to schedule make-ups either Wednesday afternoon, Thursday, or Friday.

Final grades will roll to transcript by January 6th and we will send out semester 1 progress reports the week of January 9th.

Please read below for important information regarding:

  • The Midterm Finals schedule: please note that students have the option to leave after finals on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. If students completed all finals and have no make-ups, they should NOT attend school on Thursday or Friday.

  • Joining information for ourvirtual Collaborative School Committee Meeting/Town Hall presentation on facts and dangers of Fentanyl

  • Opportunity to join and lead our PTSA, Commander Communicator

  • And many other important updates

We are here for you, Commanders!

Have a Commander Kind of Day,
