John F. Kennedy High School student Alexandria Calderon’s video on the dangers of texting while driving has been awarded Best Video of the teen texting PSA contest. Gov. Bill Ritter announced the Colorado winners last week, as the state’s new cell phone law went into effect on Dec. 1.

Kennedy CSAP scores for 2009 beat the district in 6 out of 7 areas and beat the State in 6 out of 7 areas!!
The Kennedy Counseling Department has been recognized by the American School Counselors Association as having a Model School Counseling Program. JFK is one of two Colorado high schools with this national designation!!!
Congratulations to the Kennedy Desktop Publishing team for finishing first in the District! the team consisted of Alyssa Maes-Chicado and Ashley Rodriguez. the team also placed 9th in the state competing against 2500 students from around Colorado. Thanks to Mrs. Rojo-Higgins!

Congratulations to the John F. Kennedy Mock Trial Team. This year they received multiple awards at the regional competition. James Rubino: Outstanding Witness, Amanda Hernandez: Outstanding Lawyer and together the team received the highest award given: The Professionalism Award. They secured a place to continue on at the state competition where James Rubino was once again recognized as an Outstanding Witness.
