A Message From Principal Almon

Dear Commander Community,

Students, shout out to you for showing up every day and engaging in your classes. Our school-wide attendance has improved significantly in the first couple of weeks of the 22-23 school year from the 21-22 school year. Continue to advocate for your passions by providing your teachers feedback on their classes and asking questions throughout class.

Please see details about our attendance policy here to understand the difference between an excused and unexcused absence. All absences are calculated in your overall attendance rate. We encourage you to stay home when you are sick to get well and avoid spreading illness. Assignments and course materials are posted on Schoology for you to access should you need to miss class for an excused absence. Here is a link to other school policies found on our website.

Huge thanks to all the parents and guardians who participated in our first hybrid (in-person and virtual meeting) Commander Conversation (see the link to deck here). The feedback we received from attendees was invaluable and will help improve our service to students and families. Please join us for our next Commander Conversation on 10.5.22 in our cafeteria or online, parents/guardians and students are welcome, and food is provided. Here is a summary of the questions and answers that arose from the conversation, feedback, and next steps.

Please read below for more important information regarding upcoming events like HOMECOMING, updates, and community resources.

Have a Commander Kind of Day!
