A Message From Principal Almon

Dear Commander Community,

We had an incredible first week of school, and the school’s energy has been extremely positive. We are ending the week by celebrating our students and our P.R.I.D.E. (Professionalism, Respect, Inclusion, Dedication, and Excellence) values with a pep assembly and event in which students will have the opportunity to play games, get Kona Ice, and experience the joy of high school. We always are mindful of accommodating individual student needs; therefore, we have created a space for students who do not feel comfortable in larger crowds to experience the pep rally virtually.

Please remember to mark your calendars for Back to School Night this Thursday, 9/1/22, from 5 pm – 7 pm. Back to School Night is an excellent opportunity for families to meet teachers and staff, connect with community partners, learn more about Kennedy, and have some fun. We will provide food, tons of fun games, and opportunities to win prizes. Don’t miss this event! Click here to sign up for a school tour during Back to School Night.

Picture day makeups will occur on 9/27 if any student missed this week’s picture days through their Math classes. To order pictures, go online to mylifeouch.com and enter our Picture Day ID EVTB2SXHR THIS weekend.

JFK families, if you still have any questions about your students’ schedules, we will keep the “JFK Schedule Questions” Google form open through Sunday, August 28th. Please submit your question(s) here and provide as much detail as possible.

Parents and Guardians, your voices and ideas are valued! If you are interested in joining any of the following committees, click here.

We continue to mourn the loss of one of our beloved Commanders, Efrain Esparza-Payan, see the original message posted the week of 8/15 here, and please contribute to the family’s GoFundMe if you are in the position to support in that way.
