Prospective Students

Welcome! We are excited that you are considering Kennedy for your high school years. We encourage you to explore our website fully to learn about our academic programs, athletics, clubs, and other exciting opportunities for students.

When you are ready for more we invite to come visit! Below we have outlined the opportunities available to both students and parents to visit our school and get a feel for what life is like at Kennedy.

For more information about the Choice and Enrollment Process, please visit the DPS Choice website.

The purpose of the Shadow Program is to provide prospective Commanders an inside view of what it is like to attend John F. Kennedy High School!  Students will be paired with a current JFK student and will attend two classes. We try to match visiting students with a host student based on common interests.  However, prospective students will not be able to choose their shadowing partner. Families should plan to arrive at 7:15 A.M. in the Counseling Office to check in (room 204) and the shadow day will end at 10:45 A.M. Parents are encouraged to attend an informal question and answer session from 7:15 A.M. – 7:45 A.M. with our Parent Liaison in room 230 when they drop off their student. Click HERE to make a reservation for a Student Shadow.
Students and parents are invited to join JFK students, faculty, and staff for an Open House on TBD.  Stop by JFK any time between 4:30-7:00 p.m. to take a tour, learn about our academic programs, explore electives, and discover student clubs and extra-curricular activities.

No RSVP required.

For concerns or questions please, contact our Parent Liaison: Ana Diaz by email  or phone 720-423-4536.
